Job Overview

Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Systems & Processes, is responsible for designing and scaling the systems, processes, tools, workflows, and operating models that enable consistent execution across the Program Management organization. Working in close partnership with other leaders, this role translates business and execution needs into practical operating mechanisms - from program lifecycle and governance to workflows, data, tools, automation, and reporting. The role will also connect with other PMOs and enterprise functions to leverage existing capabilities where they fit, rather than recreating them locally.

Location

Preferred location: Rochester, NY area.

This position will begin as a remote role and will transition to a hybrid schedule and relocation options will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates MUST be located in one of the following areas if they are able to travel to Rochester frequently and maintain a strong on-site presence with the engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams.

Job Requirements

Operating Model & Process Architecture

  • Define and implement scalable operating models, processes, governance, and execution frameworks across products, manufacturing, and factory programs.
  • Clarify roles, ownership, decision rights, dependencies, and cross-functional interactions.
  • Streamline processes by eliminating bottlenecks, duplication, and unnecessary complexity.
  • Establish common operating standards while allowing flexibility across program types.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to support leadership decision-making and track strategic initiatives.

Systems, Tools & Automation

  • Lead the strategy and evolution of systems supporting program planning, execution, reporting, resource management, and collaboration.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
  • Improve efficiency through automation, integration, and reduction of manual processes.
  • Establish data standards and reliable sources of truth for program visibility and decision-making.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled tools and technologies that improve execution.

Standards, Governance & Execution Excellence

  • Develop and maintain program management standards, playbooks, templates, and best practices.
  • Standardize approaches for planning, risk management, change control, governance, and executive reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement using program data, lessons learned, and execution insights.
  • Balance strong governance with a practical, business-focused approach.

Enterprise & PMO Integration

  • Collaborate with enterprise PMOs and process owners to align tools, systems, and practices.
  • Evaluate and leverage existing enterprise capabilities while adapting to business needs.
  • Represent the organization in cross-functional governance and process forums.
  • Drive resource forecasting and expenditure visibility to support planning and decision-making.

Team Leadership & Adoption

  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on processes, systems, automation, analytics, and PMO infrastructure.
  • Define team capabilities, development plans, and staffing strategies to support growth.
  • Drive adoption through training, coaching, documentation, and partnership with stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of simplicity, accountability, continuous improvement, and measurable business impact.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Information Systems, Program Management, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Significant experience in Program Management, PMO leadership, business operations, process engineering, systems implementation, or a similar execution-enablement role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cross-functional operating models, processes, workflows, and governance in a distributed, multi-cultural, complex organization.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, configuring, or improving systems and tools that support program or business execution.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear requirements, processes, and scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and drive change without relying on direct authority.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing capable teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.

Highly Preferred

  • Experience in hardware, optics, semiconductor, electronics, industrial technology, manufacturing, or another complex product-development environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction, equipment development, industrialization, factory launch, or high-volume manufacturing ramp.
  • PMP certified and exposure to ISO and other processes related to manufacturing
  • Experience working in both fast-growth environments and large enterprises, with a demonstrated ability to balance speed with scalable discipline.
  • Experience using platforms like Asana, JIRA, SharePoint, Databricks, Planisware etc.
  • Experience integrating or harmonizing processes across multiple PMOs, business units, or functional organizations.
  • Familiarity with modern project/program management, workflow, analytics, automation, collaboration, and enterprise platforms.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $156,000 - $234,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
