About the Role

Gap Incs Global Technology Services GTS organization provides technology strategy and delivery for every function in the company. Within GTS, Enterprise Journey is the Product Management team that partners with corporate functions-HR, Finance, Legal, Asset Protection, and others-to turn business needs into technology outcomes.

This Sr. Manager role is the dedicated GTS Product Management partner for key corporate domains:

• Asset Protection, a large organization that safeguards millions in annual retail loss across 2500 stores through loss prevention investigations, physical security, and crisis management. Technology is a force multiplier for a lean field operation. • Legal, a department managing across commercial contracts, compliance, employment law, IP, and privacy. Legal technology is early-stage with significant automation opportunities in contract lifecycle matter management and compliance.

These domains have historically operated with limited GTS product management partnership and the function is still maturing. Youll inherit early-stage discovery work and some established stakeholder relationships but the roadmaps, operating rhythms, and technology strategies are yours to build.

Success looks like business leaders actively pulling you into decisions because youve earned credibility in their domain. Youll report to a Director of Product Management who provides strategic context, portfolio coordination, and escalation paths. Youll also coordinate with engineering, architecture, office of AI, and more working on initiatives in your domain areas.

What Youll Do

Build Business Partnerships Develop trusted working relationships with leaders in Asset Protection, Legal, and GTS. Learn their business before proposing technology solutions. Establish GTS product management as a valued partner in organizations that have operated self-sufficiently. Different domains require different approaches-AP is operational, Legal is risk-conscious, and GTS is technically sophisticated.

Represent the portfolio in stakeholder meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional forums as the operational lead for these domains.

Discover and Map Opportunities Lead business discovery across all domains, identify pain points, map capabilities to systems, assess technology maturity, and build the business case.

In Asset Protection, advance technology architecture from discovery into roadmap-case management, RFID, video intelligence, and field technology integration.

In Legal, complete landscape discovery and identify automation opportunities in contract lifecycle management, compliance workflows, and matter management.

Evaluate where AI and automation create real value across your domains-and where theyre premature.

Deliver Outcomes Own delivery outcomes for technology initiatives in your domains, partnering with engineering and offshore delivery teams.

Hold delivery partners accountable to business results not just project completion.

Identify cross-domain opportunities particularly where governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) capabilities span multiple organizations.

Who You Are

Business Relationship Builder Youve built GTS-IT partnerships with business organizations that didnt start out wanting one. You know how to earn trust by learning the business first and proposing technology second. Youre comfortable being the first product person in the room. You have strong communication skills-able to articulate product vision and trade-offs to both executive and technical audiences.

Enterprise Domain Breadth 5 years in enterprise product management or business analysis spanning multiple corporate functions. You dont need deep expertise in asset protection or legal operations specifically - you need the ability to learn complex domains quickly and ask the right questions.

Experience with agile product development and enterprise platforms.

Discovery Orientation You lead with curiosity not solutions. Youve done capability mapping, technology assessments, or business architecture work. You know how to document what exists, identify whats missing, and build a case for investment.

Political Awareness You understand that self-sufficient organizations became that way for a reason. You dont walk in assuming they need to be rescued. You respect their expertise while demonstrating what product management adds.

AI Fluency You use LLMs and AI tools as a daily working accelerator - structuring complex analysis, drafting stakeholder communications, building knowledge systems, and evaluating where AI capabilities create genuine value for business operations.

Across three domains in early discovery, the ability to move fast with AI-assisted research and synthesis is a force multiplier.

Operational Tempo Three domains concurrent discovery, active delivery. You self-prioritize, communicate trade-offs, and stay effective without perfect clarity on every front simultaneously.

Strongly Preferred

Experience in any combination of asset protection, loss prevention, legal operations, GRC, or corporate security technology.

ServiceNow experience ITSM, CSM, or security operations modules.

Retail, CPG, or large multi-site enterprise background.

Experience working with offshore delivery models.

The Gap Inc

Doris and Don Fisher opened the first Gap store in 1969 with a simple idea -- to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Over the last 46 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with five brands -- Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix. Gap's clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through 3,300 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing. Many companies work to improve their services and businesses every day by using GAP Testers who anonymously go into various places and report back to the companies on everything from cleanliness, customer service to quality control. Being a tester is a very flexible, fun job with lots of benefits.
