Oversees all replenishment activities for assigned Region. Trains staff to drive consistent processes and procedures; manages performance results against established KPI goals; resolves issues, takes corrective actions and makes decisions as needed ensuring a clear line of communication among all stakeholders. This role will function as a subject matter expert around all Replenishment activities within assigned team utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to maneuver between optimizing legacy process and building future solutions. Functional subject matter expert helping the organization with guidance on markets, market calls for pricing, national pricing guidance, as well as strategic buys across national platform.
This position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere is the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
Prior experience with Grinds - Preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working Manager responsible for large strategic buys.
Own Commodity Intel research and market calls.
Support sales as SME working directly with select large accounts.
Collaborate with sales on inventory positions and margins.
Own national inventory positioning and excess and obsolete inventory management.
SUPERVISION:
Commodity Manager Stock Yards (3) and PSSA
RELATIONSHIPS
• Internal: GM’s, Category Managers, Executive leadership, .
• External: Manage Stock Yards Vendors and customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Computer knowledge is required
MS Office
Minimum 7 year of purchasing experience in proteins required; along with five years managing Buyers required,
Overnight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company
Demonstrates ability to lead, manage, and train others.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once; ability to function autonomously with very little direction or input. Must be able to achieve performance objectives.
Possess a high degree of diplomacy, tact, tenacity and persistence to deal effectively with other stakeholders. Must be organized and have strong communication and follow up skills.
Prior Experience with Grinds, preferred
Education
Bachelors degree in related field or 10 years equivalent work experience required.
