Description

Sr. Manager Marketing Contact Data Strategy

Job Category: Marketing

Location: US - Massachusetts - Waltham

Meet Our Team:

We are the Lifecycle Marketing & Automation team, a lean but collaborative group optimizing a home-grown marketing automation foundation in Pega’s own Customer Decision Hub. We turn lifecycle strategy into reliable, scalable programs, working closely with Marketing, GTM Ops, Product, and Data teams. In this role, you will help shape our marketing contact database in support of how we engage every customer and prospect.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

Pegasystems is seeking an experienced marketing data professional to help shape and advance our marketing contact data strategy. Sitting within the Lifecycle Marketing and Automation team, this role is focused on the quality, governance, and strategic use of lead and contact data across our B2B marketing ecosystem.

You will be a key contributor to initiatives that improve how we acquire, validate, enrich, and maintain marketing contact data — ensuring it is accurate, timely, and complete enough to power segmentation, campaigns, and pipeline. You will work closely with MDM teams, Marketing Automation, GTM/Sales Operations, and IT to help define standards and drive execution on contact data projects that matter.

You are a B2B marketing operations professional who genuinely cares about data quality. You understand the downstream impact of a bad email address, a mismatched domain, or a contact tied to the wrong account. You are comfortable working in MAPs and CRMs, you know how leads and contacts behave differently in those systems, and you can run an analysis to identify where data is falling short — and articulate clearly what needs to change.

You enjoy collaborating across teams, translating business needs into data requirements, and contributing your expertise to a team that is continuously improving how it manages one of marketing’s most critical assets: its contact database.

What You'll Do at Pega:

+ Help shape the marketing contact data strategy and roadmap, surfacing data quality trends and recommending initiatives that improve marketing performance.

+ Run regular analyses of lead and contact data health and contribute to the data quality scorecard across accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency.

+ Improve person-to-account matching and domain and email data logic, including comparing Pega’s person identifiers against vendor IDs such as ZoomInfo and Demandbase.

+ Support standardized list import, data hygiene, and governance practices, including compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CASL, and CAN-SPAM.

+ Partner cross-functionally so contact data supports accurate segmentation for campaigns, ABM programs, and nurture tracks.

Who You Are:

+ You care about data quality for a practical reason: you understand how it affects campaign performance, pipeline accuracy, and the team’s credibility with the business.

+ You are analytical and curious — you dig into data to understand what is happening, not just report that something is wrong.

+ You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and you bring structure to ambiguous problems.

+ You are collaborative by nature — you contribute your expertise, ask good questions, and help the team make better decisions.

+ You are comfortable operating in a global, cross-functional environment where priorities shift and no two data problems are exactly alike.

What You've Accomplished:

+ Managed leads and contacts across a marketing automation platform and a CRM, with a solid understanding of how records are synced and governed across both.

+ Run data analyses that compared record sets, evaluated match rates, and identified gaps, and summarized the findings for a marketing audience.

+ Worked with data enrichment and intent platforms such as ZoomInfo, 6sense, Demandbase, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

+ Collaborated with MDM or IT data teams, alongside marketing, automation, and legal stakeholders, to improve data standards.

Pega Offers You:

+ Gartner Analyst acclaimed technology leadership across our categories of products

+ Continuous learning and development opportunities

+ An innovative, inclusive, agile, flexible, and fun work environment

+ Competitive global benefits program inclusive ofpay + bonus incentive, employee equity in the company

+ #LI-DR1
