    Position Overview

    A national specialty healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Laboratory Services to oversee clinical laboratory operations at a patient care facility. The ideal candidate is an experienced lab leader who combines strong technical knowledge with operational excellence and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results that support exceptional patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day clinical laboratory operations including staffing, workflow, and quality oversight
    • Lead, develop, and evaluate laboratory staff including medical technologists, phlebotomists, and support personnel
    • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and all applicable state and federal laboratory regulations
    • Oversee laboratory quality management programs including proficiency testing, QC, and corrective action processes
    • Manage laboratory budget including reagent costs, equipment maintenance, and labor utilization
    • Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and administrative teams to optimize turnaround times and service delivery
    • Lead or support laboratory accreditation, inspection readiness, and process improvement initiatives

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
    • MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required
    • 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
    • Working knowledge of CLIA regulations, CAP standards, and laboratory accreditation requirements
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a specialty care or dialysis-related laboratory environment
    • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health record integration
    • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
    • Prior experience leading laboratory accreditation or re-accreditation processes
