Pay Rate: $97,100 – $148,700 per year

Position Overview
A national specialty healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Laboratory Services to oversee clinical laboratory operations at a patient care facility in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate is an experienced lab leader who combines strong technical knowledge with operational excellence and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results that support exceptional patient outcomes. This is a full-time senior management opportunity with competitive compensation and the ability to lead a critical department within a growing healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day clinical laboratory operations including staffing, workflow, quality oversight, and throughput
• Lead, develop, and evaluate laboratory staff including medical technologists, phlebotomists, and support personnel
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and all applicable state and federal laboratory regulations
• Oversee laboratory quality management programs including proficiency testing, equipment calibration, and corrective action
• Develop and manage the laboratory budget including labor, reagents, supplies, and capital equipment
• Collaborate with medical directors, pathologists, and clinical leadership on laboratory service line strategy and improvement initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships including laboratory equipment contracts, reagent suppliers, and reference lab partnerships
• Lead laboratory preparedness for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys
• Oversee implementation of new laboratory tests, platforms, and information system upgrades
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and build a culture of accountability and precision within the laboratory team

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Current ASCP certification (MLS, MT, or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of CLIA regulations, CAP standards, and laboratory accreditation requirements
• Demonstrated experience managing laboratory budgets, staff performance, and operational metrics
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and quality management tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a related field is preferred
