    The Charles Schwab Corporate Security team is hiring a highly engaged and experienced Senior Security Manager. This is an incredible career opportunity working in a corporate and retail environment.

    Major Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead their team and our employees safely and securely through day-to-day business operations, life-safety events, and other emergency response conditions.
    • Plan and conduct disaster and emergency action drills in respective service center locations in partnership with local landlord and property management.
    • Professional oversight of their service center locations and retail branch region. Emergency response, investigations, physical security systems monitoring and managing business unit leaders' relationships.
    • Successfully manage your respective retail branch region, being available as a trusted resource and partner.
    • Monthly travel to retail branches within an assigned region to conduct onsite training for staff. Must be able to present live training on different security/safety topics.
    • Work with retail branch staff to create and support business response plans - updated and published yearly.
    • Respond to incidents/threats and coordinate follow-up as needed, including necessary investigation and risk mitigation.

    Please note: this position is Monday - Friday in the office 5 days/week. It is only available in Chicago, IL. Candidate must reside in/near or be willing to relocate on their own to the listed location.

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

    What you have

    To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in security/law enforcement/loss protection/safety/risk field
    • In the event of emergencies, must be able to take charge of maintaining order, safety and protect personnel and property
    • Strong report writing skills and documentation with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to build a strong public-private partnership with local law enforcement and first responder agencies
    • Strong leadership abilities and a strong executive presence
    • Knowledge and experience in using proven risk assessment and risk mitigation practices
    • Familiarity with Security based access control systems, burglar alarm systems and fire monitoring systems
    • Ability to become certified as a Red-Cross CPR Instructor (Schwab will supply certification)
    • Proven competency with Windows based programs
    • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

    • Professional accredited certifications
