We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Compliance Excellence & Innovation Partners (CEIP) team, which plays a critical role in enabling high-quality execution, consistency, and continuous improvement across Global Compliance Operations. This role supports the effective day-to-day functioning and evolution of global compliance initiatives, platforms, and operational processes.
The Senior Manager translates established compliance strategies and priorities into practical workplans and execution support, coordinates delivery across geographies and stakeholders, and helps ensure that core ethics and compliance activities are run efficiently, consistently, and in line with company standards. The role reports to the Vice President, Global Compliance Operations, and partners closely with leaders across the Office of Ethics and Compliance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to strengthen the compliance ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Significant in-depth understanding of business objectives and how they translate into Business Conduct's priorities in the areas of monitoring, policy development or training. Experience and ability to manage non-attorney staff is preferred. Must be able to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action in the areas of monitoring and training where precedent may not exist.
Specific Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 8 years prior industry compliance experience required, preferably 5+ years of performing similar function at similar company or 6 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.

The salary range for this position is:
Bay Area: $157,590.00 - $203,940.00. Other US Locations: $143,225.00 - $185,350.00.
Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
