An established heavy-manufacturing plant is adding a senior electrical maintenance technician to its day-shift team. This is the person who keeps heavy production equipment running - diagnosing and repairing faults on motors, drives, and control systems before they cost the plant downtime. The work is hands-on and varied: troubleshooting with a meter one hour, pulling and landing conduit for a new machine the next, and running preventive checks across the plant's electrical assets. For a seasoned industrial electrician, this offers top-of-market hourly pay, a straight day schedule, and a stable, long-established manufacturer to build a career with.

  • Anticipated $35.60-$50.00/hr, based on experience
  • Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ match, PTO, holidays
  • 1st shift (days), Monday-Friday

Overview

  • Keep production equipment running by diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on motors, drives, and control systems before they cause downtime
  • Troubleshoot short circuits, faulty wiring, and control malfunctions using multimeters and diagnostic tools
  • Install and wire new equipment, conduit, and controls for line changes and machine relocations
  • Read and work from electrical schematics and prints to isolate problems
  • Run preventive inspections on generators, motors, breakers, and control panels, and log the work
  • Support mechanical repairs and light welding/fabrication as the job requires

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant
  • Strongly Preferred - 10+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair across motors, drives, controls, and 3-phase power
  • Able to read electrical schematics and prints
  • Diagnostic experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Welding experience, structural or repair
  • Forklift operation
  • Intermediate shop math and basic computer logging (Word, Excel, Outlook)
