Mainframe Skills

• Experience (10+ years) in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with IBM-Z/OS Mainframe applications
• Experience with
• Mainframe development suite, COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, VSAM including both batch and real-time processes.
• CICS Main view, REXX, CLIST
• Proficient in FTP/NDM/File-Mover, CA-7, IBM Utilities, Intertest, File Aid, TSO/ISPF/SDSF, File Manager, Changeman, SORT
• Experience with debug tools like Xpediter
• Strong Database design and development skills in IMS DB, DB2, DB2 SQL and Stored Procedures
• Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution
• Exposure to distributed Technologies - Java, Kafka, Rest Web Service, XML

Job responsibilities

• Develops secure high-quality production code using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Estimate and plan JIRA stories, document your tasks
• Perform hands on coding and peer review the code to guarantee stability of applications, adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes and procedures
• Ability to work independently without intensive oversight
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
