JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing quality, timely, and accurate support for commercial and business loan documentation by reviewing credit approvals, compliance documentation, Attorney Prepared documents, LaserPro documentation, and other source documents to ensure loan packages are prepared in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and credit approval terms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Process Documentation Review (40%)
- Reviews supporting loan documentation accurately and timely in accordance with all policies, procedures and checklists. Communicates missing items effectively to Lending Team.
- Completes quality control reviews on documentation prior to producing LaserPro loan documents.
- Reviews Attorney Prepared documentation against approved credit memos and source documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Serves as the subject matter expert in reviewing and interpreting legal documents including Articles of Organization, Bylaws, Operating Agreements, Trust Agreements, and other related documents.
- Reviews loan packages for compliance with federal regulations and Credit Policy guidelines
- including UCC searches, UCC collateral filings, flood requirements, title work, verification of good standing, CIP, verification of paid real estate taxes, and other applicable documentation.
- Maintains tracking items and documentation exceptions as necessary.
Produce Loan Documentation (35%)
- Ensures all loan closing requirements and conditions are met before releasing documents, while adhering to established service level agreements.
- Prepares and provides necessary loan documentation to Lending Team for closing.
- Reviews LaserPro document output for accuracy and consistency with credit approval terms, collateral requirements, entity structure, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve documentation issues.
- Applies independent judgment when determining documentation requirements and identifying items that require further review or escalation.
Conduct Post-Close Review (20%)
- Reviews closed loan packages to ensure all required documents have been obtained, properly executed, and completed in accordance with applicable requirements; provides updates to the Lending Team as necessary.
- Enters new loan information into the loan documentation system and forwards completed packages to Loan Services for review.
- Submits Change-in-Terms document packages to Loan Services to ensure loans are boarded accurately in the system.
- Facilitates and responds to post-close documentation questions from other departments as needed.
Other Loan Operation Processes (5%)
- Supports the team and company through sharing of knowledge, leading by example, setting high standards for self and team, being accountable, demonstrating open communication, acknowledging and supporting other's efforts, and providing feedback when appropriate.
- Adheres to all relevant regulations that apply within the scope of position including BSA, AML, OFAC and CIP.
- Provides backup support and assists with training new team members by sharing documentation knowledge, explaining procedures, reviewing work as appropriate, and reinforcing established expectations and best practices.
- Assists with documenting procedures and maintaining accurate records.
- Assists with LaserPro administration and prepares comprehensive loan closing documentation for various loan types, including real estate secured, construction, and commercial loans.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Attorney Prepared and LaserPro loan documentation requirements, including the ability to review and interpret credit approvals, entity documentation, collateral requirements, legal documentation, and other supporting loan documents.
- Solid knowledge of loan administration, including documentation requirements, lien perfection, collateral filings, title work, UCCs, flood requirements, exception resolution, and applicable compliance regulations, including but not limited to Flood, HMDA, CRA, CIP, and TRID.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and independent judgment skills, with the ability to review complex loan documentation, identify concerns, determine appropriate next steps, and complete pre-closing quality reviews with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage heavy workloads, multiple priorities, and interruptions while independently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service through effective, professional, and positive verbal and written communication.
- Ability to provide guidance, training, and support to new or less experienced team members.
- Solid math, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to complete required compliance training by established deadlines and maintain regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION*
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Courses or equivalent training in finance, accounting or business preferred.
EXPERIENCE*
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reviewing, preparing, or processing commercial loan documentation.
- Proficiency in loan documentation software, such as LaserPro preferred.
- Solid experience reviewing Attorney Prepared documentation preferred.
- Experience assisting with training, mentoring, or supporting new team members preferred.
