What You'll Do

• Underwrite individual life insurance applications within established authority limits.
• Assess medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors to determine appropriate risk classifications.
• Analyze complex cases and make recommendations that balance profitability and customer experience.
• Collaborate with internal partners, agents, and medical professionals to gather information and resolve underwriting questions.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for peers on challenging cases.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of life insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk selection, medical underwriting, and life insurance products.
• Proven ability to review and evaluate complex underwriting cases.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• FLMI, FALU, CLU, or progress toward industry designations preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
