    Description

    Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Lead Systems Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier Infrastructure Services clients. This role will be remote.

    Seeks an experienced HR Data and Reporting Analyst to support the HR Operations function. Reporting to the Director, Workforce Planning Operations, this contract role will provide workforce reporting, data analysis, and operational insights across Workday HCM, , Payroll, Benefits, and. The position is an HR operations functional position and will collaborate with HRIS and other HR functional teams when system expertise, configuration support, or issue resolution is required.

    Responsibilities :
    • Reporting to the Director, HR Operations, this position will partner with HR leaders, functional teams, and business stakeholders to assess reporting needs and translate document requirements and uses as clear, reliable reports, dashboards, and recurring data deliverables.
    • Gathering and clarifying business requirements
    • Using Workday reports
    • Creating calculated fields as needed for reporting in Excel or other analysis tools
    • Running, auditing, and distributing reporting
    • Creating operationally scheduled standard HR data reporting in powerpoint or excel
    • Validating report logic and results
    • Reconciling and auditing data across HR processes
    • Documenting report definitions, data sources, procedures, and controls
    • Coordination with HRIS when requests require system configuration, security changes, integrations, or technical troubleshooting
    • The analyst will monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and work with HR functional teams to resolve issues and improve reporting processes. The role will analyze workforce trends and key HR metrics, present findings in an understandable format, support audits and compliance-related reporting, and respond to time-sensitive data requests from HR Operations and business leaders. The position will test and validate new or revised reports from a business-user perspective, maintain appropriate data security and confidentiality, and provide guidance or job aids that help users interpret and use HR information effectively.
    Required Skills:
    • The Contract HR Data and Reporting Analyst will have demonstrated experience analyzing human resources data and designing accurate, actionable reports and dashboards in support of HR operations and business decision-making.
    • Proficiency with understanding, running, analyzing, and using Workday reports and team worksheets.
    • Ability to understand and build requirements, document and test reports and calculated fields,
    • Experience and understanding of basic HR data
    • Requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Ability to validate data, identify trends, and explain findings to business partners
    • Sound judgment when handling confidential employee information
    • Experience creating dashboards to showcase trends and analysis and powerpoint summaries (tables, charts, and graphs)
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, data analysis, graph generation, report automation)
    • Ability to run, audit, and document reporting needs and uses
    • Operational rigor and discipline around testing, data validation, report integrity, accuracy, and timeliness
    • Ability to chase answers and anomalies in data and reporting compared to process designs in support of improvement Preferences
    • Experience leveraging Microsoft CoPilot to automate reporting and analysis
    • Experience partnering with HRIS, HR team members, and internal departments as needed on system-related questions or technical issues (direct responsibility for Workday configuration or HRIS administration is not required)
    • Experience using other database querying, reporting, or data visualization tools—such as SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
    • Familiarity with data governance, reporting documentation, and quality-control practices
