    The Role

    The Senior Lead Network Engineer is an experienced technical leader responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of enterprise network infrastructure and critical network services. This role is primarily focused on Network Application Support and Tier 4 Operations, serving as the highest escalation point for complex issues impacting authentication, logging, monitoring, name resolution, time synchronization, and IP address management services.

    The Main Responsibilities

    Network Application Support

    ·       Lead operational support of TACACS+, RADIUS, Splunk, NTP, DNS, and DHCP platforms.

    ·       Ensure high availability, scalability, and resiliency of network services.

    ·       Manage upgrades, patching, configuration validation, and capacity planning.

    ·       Troubleshoot complex authentication, logging, monitoring, and IPAM service issues.

    Tier 4 Operational Support

    ·       Serve as the Tier 4 escalation point for high-impact incidents.

    ·       Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.

    ·       Act as technical authority during major incidents.

    Architecture, Engineering, and Technology Support Collaboration

    ·       Partner with architecture and engineering teams on operational readiness and supportability.

    ·       Evaluate emerging technologies and influence design decisions.

    Process Improvement and Leadership

    ·       Mentor engineers and drive automation and monitoring improvements.

    Project Management

    ·       Manage network and infrastructure projects and support strategic roadmaps.

    What We Look for in a Candidate

    Core Competencies

    ·       Expert knowledge of TACACS+, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and related technologies.

    ·       Extensive experience supporting Splunk infrastructure.

    ·       Proven Tier 4 operations experience.

    ·       Advanced troubleshooting and RCA capabilities.

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field desired.

    Experience

    Required: 7+ years in network engineering, architecture, infrastructure engineering, or network services support roles.

    Preferred Experience

    ·       Cisco ISE

    ·       Juniper Steel-Belted RADIUS

    ·       Portnox

    ·       Syslog applications

    ·       Splunk

    Compensation 

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
