    Job Description

    • Represent developers, property owners, and institutional clients in sophisticated land use, zoning, and permitting matters.
    • Lead clients through appearances before Connecticut zoning, planning, inland wetlands, and other municipal boards and commissions.
    • Advise clients on variances, special permits, site plan approvals, entitlements, and development strategies.
    • Build and strengthen client relationships while maintaining and expanding a substantial portable book of business.
    • Develop new business and referral relationships within the Connecticut real estate, development, municipal, and land use communities.
    • Collaborate with Real Estate, Environmental, Litigation, Corporate, and other practice groups to provide seamless client service.
    • Contribute to practice growth, firm initiatives, business development, and leadership activities.
    • Mentor junior attorneys and serve as a resource for developing land use and zoning talent.

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
    • Active Connecticut Bar license in good standing.
    • 5+ years of concentrated land use and zoning law experience.
    • $500K+ portable book of business with demonstrated client origination and business development success.
    • Significant experience appearing before Connecticut municipal land use boards and commissions.
    • Strong professional reputation within the Connecticut land use, zoning, real estate, and development community.
    • Excellent advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills.
    • New York Bar admission is a plus.
