Description
Essential Job Duties
Collaborate with City stakeholders, IT leadership, Department Management Team, vendors, and industry partners to define strategic technology direction and solution standards.
Develop and maintain IT service, technology, and architecture roadmaps that align with Citywide business goals, operational needs, and long-term strategy.
Design secure, scalable, resilient, and interoperable IT architectures that support enterprise systems, infrastructure, data, applications, and business processes.
Analyze business and operational problems, identify technology needs, and develop recommendations for cost-effective solutions and process improvements.
Work with Project Management Team to ensure solutions meet requirements for functionality, availability, capacity, performance, security, integration, operations, and maintenance.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that improve Citywide infrastructure, services, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, impact analyses, and risk assessments for new technologies, system enhancements, and architecture changes.
Support the development of business cases for technology services by estimating costs related to infrastructure, licensing, development, implementation, and ongoing support.
