Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer
Pay Rate: $55/hr - $60/hr
Location: Torrance, CA (onsite 3 days/week)
The Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer will be a technical resource within the Professional Services team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT infrastructure and cloud solutions for clients. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor across networking, server, identity, cloud, and infrastructure migration engagements, delivering secure, reliable solutions that align with client business objectives. This role partners closely with sales, project management, and technical delivery teams, provides senior-level troubleshooting and escalation support, and mentors junior consultants and engineers to ensure successful, high-quality delivery of client initiatives.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, configure, and maintain networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, routing, and VPN connectivity.
- Administer and support Windows Server environments and Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Manage print infrastructure, including network printers, print servers, and driver and print queue deployment.
- Lead and execute migration projects, including tenant migrations, mail migrations, file migrations, and server migrations.
- Manage identity and access solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO).
- Design, deploy, and support Azure and Microsoft 365 environments and services.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex client issues across networking, server, identity, and cloud environments.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and procedures, and participate in client-facing project meetings.and provide technical guidance to junior consultants and engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco), managed switches, and VLAN segmentation to deliver secure, high-performing network environments.
- Design and implement site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions and routing configurations.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory Domain Services, including Group Policy Objects, DNS, and DHCP.
- Deploy and manage print servers, network printers, and print driver/queue configurations across client sites.
- Plan and execute Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, mail migrations, file/data migrations, and server migrations (including on-premises-to-cloud and physical-to-virtual moves).
- Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access, MFA enrollment, and SSO integrations with third-party applications.
- Architect, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure and Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and network diagrams for client environments.
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
GENERAL DUTIES
In addition to essential functions of this role, this position will be expected to:

- PSA/RMM and ticketing platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, Datto)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or systems administration, ideally within an MSP or professional services environment.
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting firewalls, switches, VLANs, routing protocols, and VPN technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
- Experience planning and executing tenant, mail, file, and server migrations.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and SSO solutions.
- Experience deploying and managing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Relevant certifications preferred, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Fortinet NSE.
- Collaborative mindset works effectively with sales, technical delivery, and security teams.
EDUCATION- Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Business, Economics, or Liberal Arts, a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of relevant technical certifications and professional experience will be considered
