The Finisher III will be expected to work independently to complete the tasks and duties expected of a Finisher I and a Finisher II, in addition to the following tasks: Parts Bending and Straightening, Final Finishes with Quality and Speed, Manual Lathe Operation, Tig Welding, Laser Welder Programming, Instrument Function Troubleshooting, Assembly of Complex Instruments/Devices, Laser Etching, and Preventative Machine/Equipment Maintenance. Independently complete Finisher III activities including Parts Bending and Straightening, Final Finishes with Quality and Speed, Manual Lathe Operation, Tig Welding, Laser Welder Programming, Instrument Function Troubleshooting, Assembly of Complex Instruments/Devices, Laser Etching, and Preventative Machine/Equipment Maintenance.

The role of a Finisher III consists of finishing hardware medical device parts within the required specifications listed on work orders, schematics, and blueprints. The Finisher III will be expected to work independently to complete the tasks and duties expected of a Finisher I and a Finisher II, in addition to the following tasks: Parts Bending and Straightening, Final Finishes with Quality and Speed, Manual Lathe Operation, Tig Welding, Laser Welder Programming, Instrument Function Troubleshooting, Assembly of Complex Instruments/Devices, Laser Etching, and Preventative Machine/Equipment Maintenance. The Finisher III is required to be versatile within a production environment and learn various equipment as required.Responsibilities:

• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Independently complete Finisher I activities including Accurately Counting Parts, Sandblasting, Tumbler/Disc Machine Operation, Electro-Polishing, Drill Press Operation, Dremel Use, Tapping, Heat Treating, Peek Finishing, Tapping, and Work Order Diligence.
• Independently complete Finisher II activities including Blueprint Reading, Use of Microscopes and Similar Devices for Close-Up Work, Final Finishes, Brazing, Use of Measurement Instruments, Set Instruments to Specified Dimensions and Tolerances, Hand Filing, and Drill Press Fixture Set-up.
• Independently complete Finisher III activities including Parts Bending and Straightening, Final Finishes with Quality and Speed, Manual Lathe Operation, Tig Welding, Laser Welder Programming, Instrument Function Troubleshooting, Assembly of Complex Instruments/Devices, Laser Etching, and Preventative Machine/Equipment Maintenance.

Requirements:

• Must be able to follow leadership's instructions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in parts finishing and/or instrument making.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to use the necessary tools and complete the required processes expected of a Finisher I, Finisher II and a Finisher III.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity.
• Must possess strong math skills, ability to add, subtract, and count accurately.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to move around large areas.
• Must be able to manipulate small parts with your hands.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted.
• Required to lift more than 60 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Required to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less.
• Must be able to judge distance and spatial relationships.
• Must be able to visually bring objects into sharp focus for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
