Sr. Infrastructure VMWare Engineer

IDR is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure VMWare Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade virtualization and software-defined data center (SDDC) technologies. The position offers the chance to work with a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector.

Position Overview for the Sr. Infrastructure VMWare Engineer:

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise VMware vSphere clusters supporting critical workloads.
• Manage NSX-T network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and overlay networking.
• Deploy and configure Avi Service Engines, load balancing, and security policies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and support complex virtualization, networking, and load-balancing issues.
• Ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of virtualization infrastructure.

Requirements for the Sr. Infrastructure VMWare Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering focusing on VMware technologies.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T architecture, distributed firewalls, and NSX edge services.
• Practical experience configuring VMware Avi Service Engines, virtual services, and traffic rules.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing (BGP), VLANs, VXLAN/GENEVE overlay networks, and network security.
• Proficiency with automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform.
