Senior Information Security Engineer
The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting security solutions that protect enterprise systems, cloud environments, data, and AI-enabled technologies. This role partners across the organization to strengthen cybersecurity posture, manage risk, ensure compliance, and respond to security threats and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention, and vulnerability management tools.
Develop secure architectures for on-premises and cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure.
Apply AI and machine learning security best practices to protect systems, data, and workflows.
Manage identity, authentication, encryption, and access control solutions.
Monitor environments for threats, vulnerabilities, and security events.
Investigate and respond to security incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
Perform security assessments, audits, and risk reviews, recommending mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with internal teams to address emerging threats and implement proactive security measures.
Evaluate security products and work with vendors on solution improvements.
Provide security guidance, awareness training, and technical expertise for projects and initiatives.
Contribute to security strategy, architecture planning, and enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in information security, including network security, cloud security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and encryption technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Azure security solutions.
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and security best practices.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and enterprise security technologies.
Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CCSP, GIAC, or similar.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Availability to support after-hours cybersecurity incidents and critical events when required.
