- You will be responsible for “Indirect purchasing” of tooling, capital equipment, fixtures, construction, testing, packaging, freight, outside services, MRO, and other necessary items to maintain day to day operations and support future operations and growth.
- Conduct Data analysis of spending to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate long term agreements, blanket contracts, and cost reductions.
- Manage price change maintenance for indirect purchases in accordance with global purchasing process.
- Review suppliers, collaborate with other team members to ensure best cost, on time delivery, and high-quality sourcing.
- Identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives to facilitate savings and/or efficiencies.
- Manage sourcing activities by preparing, issuing and evaluation bid and RFI/RFP requests according to Rebo Group BOS/PLUS process.
- Be the main contact for and be responsible for providing evidence the Rebo-Group indirect procurement process has been followed with customer and internal control audits.
- Review bid proposals and negotiate supplier terms and conditions within scope of authority.
- Prepare vendor selection and recommendation based on Total Cost of Ownership.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance.
- Turn approved requestions into purchase orders.
- Understand functional business.
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES- You have at least 5+ years of progressive experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, indirect purchasing, etc.)
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related field.
- You are able to work in-person at either our Sparta TN or Plymouth MI office location.
- Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications.
- Prior experience with PLEX ERP system is a plus.
- Preferred to be fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.).
- You are accountable and demonstrate integrity by delivering what is promised. Self-starter that takes responsibility, unlocks opportunities, removes barriers, aligns internal stakeholders and who simply gets things done within job scope and authority.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid organizational and time/project management skills.
- You’re organized, highly efficient and know how to develop specific goals and prioritize with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management.
- Ability to both lead and support sourcing projects
- Demonstratable procurement experience for indirect materials, services, and tooling/capx
