Sr. I&E Technician - Charleston SC

Burrow Global has an immediate need for an experienced Sr. Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician for a project in Charleston, South Carolina.  This position will last three months, will be on-site, and we need someone who can mobilize and begin work as soon as possible.

Scope of Work

The technician will provide hands-on I&E maintenance and troubleshooting support in an operating terminal environment, including:

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and replacing industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Working with transmitters, switches, control valves, analyzers, and other field instrumentation equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of motors, motor controls, starters, VFDs, panels, and associated equipment
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation
• Performing instrument calibration, loop checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting of control/instrumentation circuits
• Diagnosing equipment failures and performing corrective and preventive maintenance

Candidate Requirements

• Journeyman-level I&E experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or terminal environment
• Working knowledge of NEC, electrical safe-work practices, and classified-area installations
• Trained in permits, LOTO, confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection, and PPE/FRC requirements
• TWIC card required, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Able to work outdoors, climb tanks/structures, operate lifts, and carry tools
• Must pass client site orientation, background check, and drug screen requirements.
