    Description

    Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Sr. I&E Designer for a long-term opportunity with a Petrochemical Plant on the east side of Houston.   This position will be onsite at the facility off Hwy 225 @ 610 Loop.

    Daily Responsibilities:

    • Produce all documents and drawings required to:
    • Prepare working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product.
    • Coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel.
    • Prepare and assemble project deliverables.
    • Prepare estimates from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches.
    • Work closely with the Project Manager and/or Engineer during all phases of a project.
    • Support Management of Change (MOC) activities.

    Duties involve all aspects of process design, including:

    • Provide I/E design packages consisting of: Scope of Work, Instrument List, Spec Sheets, Loop Drawings, J-Box, Electrical, Grounding, One-Line’s & Wiring diagrams, P&ID’s
    • May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification.
    • Ability to write project Scope of Work.

    Qualifications to serve as I/E Designer:

    • 15+ years’ experience in Electrical/Instrument design.
    • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills (Microsoft software)
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and SmartPlant Instrumentation.
    • Applicant should be motivated, have good analytical skills, and enjoy working in a challenging team environment.
    • Able to provide project design on small to medium projects from conception through detailed design.
    • Support the design effort for a component of a large complex project.
    • Demonstrates ability to design retrofits in congested operating areas.
    • Ability to provide a finished product that meets all safety in design requirements and is easily operable and maintainable.
    • Able to make field trips to obtain accurate sketches.
    • Active TWIC Card is required.
