YOU MUST HAVE:

• 5 years of directly related experience in health and safety practice.
• Strong experience and technical knowledge with occupational safety and injury prevention programs

WE VALUE:

• Certifications in safety and/or industrial hygiene (CIH or CSP)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline
• Master's degree in occupational health and safety
• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing
• Experience with Cal/OSHA safety regulations
• Experience with Cal/OSHA safety regulations
• Experience with safety engineering practices such as machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, training, contractor safety and emergency preparedness
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio

The annual base salary range for this position in Torrance, CA is $106,000 to $135,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implements and maintains company policies adhering to state health and safety regulations.
• Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly.
• Develops and implements health and safety programs
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating health and safety policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used safety engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.
