Summary
Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking an experienced
Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to support the development of advanced aerospace vehicles and mission systems.
In this role, you will design, develop, analyze, and test GN&C algorithms, flight software, simulations, and related systems supporting advanced aerospace platforms. You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to evaluate vehicle performance, flight characteristics, navigation capabilities, and mission requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aerospace engineer who enjoys solving complex flight dynamics and controls challenges and contributing to highly integrated aerospace systems.
Description- Design, develop, evaluate, and test Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms and systems.
- Develop and utilize modeling and simulation environments to evaluate aerospace vehicle performance.
- Perform trajectory analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, flight dynamics analysis, and vehicle stability assessments.
- Support the development and testing of flight software and related aerospace hardware.
- Analyze vehicle flight qualities, performance, and mission capabilities.
- Work with aerospace vehicle sensor suites and associated navigation systems.
- Develop and mature engineering baselines within complex aerospace development programs.
- Conduct technical trade studies and analysis of alternatives to support system and vehicle design decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout design, development, integration, and testing.
- Apply industry-standard aerospace engineering principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, flight dynamics, and system modeling.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership during complex engineering development efforts.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and aerospace engineering practices.
- Advanced experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, analysis, modeling, and simulation.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering design and development teams.
- Strong background in system modeling and simulation.
- Ability to analyze complex aerospace systems and translate results into actionable engineering decisions.
- Previous experience leading baseline definition and maturation within a complex development environment.
- Professional experience within the aerospace and defense industry.
