Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own the full lifecycle of assigned product lines—from concept to end-of-life.
Develop and maintain multi-year product roadmaps aligned with company strategy and market trends and supported with proper business cases.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
Define and maintain product positioning, pricing strategy, and value propositions.
Commercial Enablement
Serve as the primary product expert supporting Sales, OEMs, and Channel Partners.
Develop and maintain technical sales tools, application guides, and training content.
Support major customer engagements with technical application expertise.
Partner with Sales and Marketing to prepare launch plans, promotional materials, and campaign messaging.
Financial Performance
Own and manage full product line financial performance, including monthly reporting and analysis of the product line P&L (revenue, margin, and cost drivers).
Drive product performance versus AOP goals (revenue, margin, units).
Own product pricing strategy and margin objectives.
Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations on list price management, discount structures, and profitability analysis.
Product Development & Operations Interface
Collaborate with Engineering to define requirements, specifications, and test criteria for new products.
Manage Voice of Customer (VOC) input throughout development and validation stages.
Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to manage cost reduction initiatives, component obsolescence, and product quality.
Lifecycle Management
Lead product change notifications (PCNs), legacy transitions, and end-of-life communications.
Maintain accurate product data in ERP/CRM systems and internal documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant certifications (UL, NTEP, CE, etc.).
Other – Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in product management, applications engineering, or technical marketing—preferably in industrial instrumentation, process automation, or weighing systems.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, and field integration (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
Proven ability to develop and execute product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, ERP/CRM tools, and project management tools.
