Job Summary:This role requires a seasoned professional to lead the development and implementation of functional safety strategies for automotive systems, ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards. You will be instrumental in defining system safety requirements, reviewing critical safety documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of safety standards and a proven ability to drive safety excellence in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine functional safety system requirements.
- Conduct and review hazard analysis and risk assessments.
- Define and approve safety concepts for hardware and software.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure safety is integrated into architecture.
- Lead the development of functional safety processes and tools.
Must-Have Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 26262 standards.
- Experience with SOTIF analysis.
- Strong requirements management skills.
Domain / Industry Experience:
Experience in functional safety engineering within the automotive industry, specifically with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers, is essential for this role.
