Immediate need for a Financial Analyst having experience in any Industry. This is a 06 month’s contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below: Job ID: 18-03512 Key Responsibilities: • Reporting to the Accounting Consulting & Transformation Manager, the Accounting Consulting & Transformation Senior Financial Analyst will support the Accounting & Tax department through managing and/or working with multidisciplinary teams on department projects, designing, developing & implementing efficient and effective solutions to meet company’s growing business needs, while building consensus for these projects. • ACT Team Members work on a variety of A&T department projects: for smaller projects you will be the Project Manager, executing the planning and analysis work, leading the working group to design, developing a solution, informing leadership and building consensus; for larger projects you will be a working group member supporting a larger Project Management effort • ACT Team Members are expected to manage project resources (Team Members and contingent workers) to efficiently and effectively deliver the project results on time. This requires managing many constituencies to ensure all are delivering their tasks on time. Additionally, Team Members are tasked with identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies or reduce overall timelines. • Will be leading meeting with other teams to learn about their projects. Must Haves: • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS] Business degree in Accounting/Finance • 5-10 years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry) • CPA with current accounting experience is a key requirement (inactive ok) • Process Improvement experience (must be able to provide examples) • Will be assisting various teams within Accounting and Tax groups in completing projects, so must have project and consulting mindset, must know how to run a project, and have people management skills • Project management is not a requirement, as this person will not be managing a project, but actually doing projects (very hands-on) • Attention to detail is a must along with the ability to work in challenging environments • Adaptability - willingness to learn new products and processes and work on multiple types of project concurrently • Ability to work with ambiguous or changing work situations, tasks, assignments • A high degree of organization skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment • Ability to work with customers to conceptualize needs and to develop and implement solutions • The ability to successfully execute short-term activities without impeding progress on longer-term activities • Excellent communication skills • Self-starter who works independently to move tasks forward while continuously obtaining group consensus • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint user • Work collaboratively with team members • Meet regular performance expectations • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team and business objectives. • Capability to work flexible hours, which may include day, evening and weekend hours. • Ability to be at work on time, to return from breaks and lunch periods on time and to leave the work area after the end of their scheduled workday (applicable to jobs subject to attendance policy) Preferred/ Nice-to-haves: • Specific experience in the areas of Data Integrity Controls and Project Management • 10-15 years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry) • Experience with transactions and reporting with Oracle Hyperion HFM • Change Management Practitioner Our client is a leading Financial Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
