About the Role:

Are you energized by building trusted client relationships and creating exceptional workplace experiences?

Join CBRE as a Sr. Facilities Manager supporting one of our premier clients in the Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) sector. Based on-site with the client in Playa Vista, CA, you'll serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, developing strong stakeholder relationships while overseeing facilities and workplace experience services for a high-profile, approximately 76,000-square-foot location.

This role offers the opportunity to blend facilities management expertise with workplace experience leadership in a highly visible, client-facing environment. You'll lead the delivery of facilities operations, maintenance programs, vendor management, and service excellence while also managing Workplace Experience Supervisors who help create a welcoming, engaging, and productive workplace.

We're seeking a relationship-focused professional who thrives on collaboration, anticipates client needs, and delivers solutions that enhance both the employee experience and operational performance. Your ability to influence stakeholders, build trust, and provide exceptional service will be critical to success in this role.

As part of CBRE's Facilities Management team, you'll help shape the workplace experience, drive operational excellence, and support a world-class client environment where people and performance can thrive.

What You'll Do:

  • Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular stakeholder meetings and a solutions-oriented approach to addressing facility and workplace experience needs.
  • Lead and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by partnering with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service.
  • Plan, prepare, and manage projects, operating budgets, and variance reports with precision and strategic oversight.
  • Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and enforce environmental health and safety procedures tailored to each facility's needs.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, oversee invoicing processes, and review and approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor.
  • Apply broad business and technical knowledge to align facilities operations with departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide formal supervision to staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and development planning.
  • Manage daily team operations by setting work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting CBRE's RISE values and influencing others through leadership and collaboration.
  • Solve complex technical and operational challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Recognize and address the broader impact of decisions across the department, driving continuous improvement in methods, processes, and standards.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience supporting clients through a third-party facilities management or integrated facilities services model required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Facility Management certification (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in budget management, including accruals, deferrals, and variance reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in staffing, training, development, coaching, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and effectively, while setting expectations and resolving challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and align operational goals across roles and functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, curious mindset.
  • Solid understanding of financial and operational math, including percentages, fractions, and other calculations.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
