As Sr. Estimating and Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the Estimating and Pricing function within the Continental Electronics Corporation. This role provides leadership for the Estimating & Pricing function, including managing and developing Estimating and Pricing team, developing company policies, tools, and training materials, leading cost estimating and pricing activities, proposal requirements analysis, pricing strategies, proposal development, and negotiation support, including interfacing with DCAA, DCMA, and customers. This position will report to the Director of Estimating and Pricing leading cost estimating activities, proposal requirements analysis, and negotiation support.

Responsibilities:
  • Establishing and maintains company policies and procedures related to the cost estimating system, proposal creation, reviews, and audits
  • Support with design and maintain cost estimating and pricing models and tools, including software applications
  • Develop and conduct training on cost estimating and pricing tools, processes, methodologies, and Government compliance
  • Review and interpret Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and establish pricing strategies aligned with capture plans and customer requirements
  • Manage Estimating and Pricing staff including personal development, performance reviews, training, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, and establish department goals
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating and pricing processes and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate basis of estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS) that support program execution and customer requirements, should-cost and price-to-win analysis, and strategy to support company financial goals
  • Utilize cost estimating and pricing models and tools to generate cost estimates, pricing data, and applicable reports
  • Oversee the creation of cost/price volumes and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for complex defense proposals
  • Prepare financial data and presentations to support leadership review and approval of proposed cost and pricing proposals
  • Create required proposal documents that are compliant with both customer requirements and Government regulations
  • Actively participate in proposal audits and negotiations with DCAA, DCMA, and customers

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in government contracting estimating and pricing, including leadership of complex proposals
  • Advanced expertise with specialized pricing software, such as ProPricer, for various proposal and contract types, multiple CLINs and Options
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) with demonstrated ability to ensure compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to managing the proposal process, including estimating and pricing tasks, proposal creation, and developing tasks and schedules to ensure on time delivery of compliant proposals
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to draft high-quality correspondence and business communications
  • Ability to interpret complex proposal documents and create compliant proposal deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Possess a strategic mindset and view scenarios with a long-term, big picture perspective
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Pay may range from $166,000 to $185,000 annually

 

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

 

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
