At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are currently seeking a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician for a 6-month contract opportunity Temp to Perm potential for the right candidatebased in Billerica Massachusetts.In this role you will play a critical part in ensuring the performance and reliability of our manufacturing operations by calibrating maintaining and troubleshooting production line and facility equipment. You will work with a combination of high-precision commercial systems and custom-engineered equipment supporting advanced manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys working with complex precision-driven technology.What Youll DoPerform preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtimeDiagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical pneumatic and electronic equipment issuesAssemble install and test new production equipmentMaintain accurate maintenance and repair records using an electronic logging systemCoordinate the purchase of spare parts and work with equipment vendors and service providersCollaborate with production operators to identify and resolve equipment issuesParticipate in an on-call rotation every other weekendMaintain 5S standards to ensure a clean organized and safe work environmentWhat Youll NeedHigh school diploma or technical certification3-5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenanceStrong troubleshooting problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and manualsExperience working with complex manufacturing processesHands-on experience with mechanical pneumatic and electronic systemsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skillsNice to HaveExperience with high-precision placement equipment e.g. wire bonders SRO systems vacuum pumps chillersFamiliarity with optical components and alignmentExperience in a medical device or optical manufacturing environmentCompensationPay Range 28.00- 43.00 per hour depending on experience.This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ITARVisa sponsorship is not available for any position at ExcelitasEqual OpportunityAffirmative Action EmployerMinoritiesFemalesDisabilityVeteranGender IdentitySexual OrientationExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team Visit httpsjobs.excelitas.com
