Akkodis is seeking an Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Broomfield, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently assembling, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical/mechanical laboratory systems while ensuring safe operation and organized lab environments.
Rate Range: $35/Hour to $40/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities include:
Configure and support laboratory vacuum and gas-handling test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for prototype development and validation.
Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems, including wiring assemblies and building custom test cables.
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment such as vacuum pumps, compressors, oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, temperature monitoring systems, and vacuum gauges.
Support testing activities involving chilled water systems, liquefied gas systems, and cryogenic equipment while adhering to safety standards and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and senior technicians to execute project milestones, experiments, and technical deliverables.
Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and test records while ensuring lab organization, equipment upkeep, and participation in 5S initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Technical Certification, associate degree, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
4-6 years of hands-on experience in laboratory, R&D, vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, or related technical environments.
Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting vacuum and gas-handling systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings, along with performing routine maintenance on vacuum pumps and associated equipment.
Proven ability to perform electrical/mechanical assembly, wiring assemblies, and test cable creation, with hands-on experience using laboratory test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, vacuum gauges, and temperature monitoring systems.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
