How you''ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Fleet Engineering department consists of Fleet Management and Discipline teams that support both the Airbus and Boeing Aircraft fleets from an operational and strategy perspective. The Airbus Systems team supports activities for Systems ATAs on the A220, A320Fam, A330, and A350 fleets with primary focus on deploying Engineering solutions through project development. Fleet Engineering is currently seeking a Project Engineer to support the Airbus Systems team.

• Providing aircraft engineering support to a variety of internal customers and outside suppliers to support Engineering solutions for long term safety/reliability/cost effectiveness
• Reviewing data and recommending and implementing changes as required to improve aircraft reliability
• Supports development of internal engineering solutions; remove OEM dependence wherever possible
• Reviewing, recommending, and implementing Airworthiness regulations or manufacturers'' service bulletins and other correspondence to affected fleets. Meanwhile, Maintain compliance with applicable FAA regulations and Delta's Technical Operations Policy and Procedures (TOPP) by authoring, checking and approving Engineering documents
• Maintain stakeholder engagement through leaving the office environment and going to hangar, line, shop, planning and other support groups to gain details necessary to develop/complete quality project

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Candidates for this position should have at minimum a bachelor''s degree in engineering with up to 3 yrs minimum relevant experience.
• Selected candidates may be offered either the Engineer or Senior Engineer role based on experience.
• Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
• Internal candidates with grade levels above the existing job posting should contact the hiring manager.
• Previous airline, military, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft is strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Strong written and oral communications/skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in cross-divisional teams.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

• Familiarity with airline operations and support systems.
• Familiarity with CFR''s and DOT regulations pertaining to aircraft cabin certification.
• Familiarity with use of Aircraft Technical Manuals (AMM, CMM, IPCs, WDMs, etc.)
• Familiarity with application of Safety Risk Management in technical applications is desired.
