As a ServiceNow Engineer in our Global Technology Solutions department, you will be responsible for the design, development, administration and operations support of the ServiceNow platform.  This role combines strong ServiceNow development expertise with platform administration and production support responsibilities to ensure stability, scalability and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow ecosystem aligned with the company’s objectives.
The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders, platform owners and engineering teams to implement solutions while also participating in production support rotation and on call responsibilities to maintain platform reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and implement ServiceNow solutions using platform best practices
  • Build and maintain custom applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, integrations and scripts.
  • Develop using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Integration Hub and ServiceNow scripting frameworks
  • Configure and extend core modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, CMDB and ITSM processes
  • Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, Mid Server and APIs
  • Administer and maintain ServiceNow platform configuration and elements
  • Manage user roles, permissions, groups and access controls
  • Perform platform upgrades, patching and instance management
  • Monitor system health, performance and platform stability
  • Ensure compliance with platform governance, security and development standards
  • Participate in production support rotation and on call coverage
  • Troubleshoot incidents, defects and platform performance issues
  • Provide root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
  • Support incident, problem and change management processes related to the platform
  • Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
  • Conduct thorough testing of systems and applications to ensure functionality, security, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers and junior engineers.
  • Acts as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements
  • Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with ServiceNow development and system administration,
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow scripting (Java, Glide API)
  • Strong experience with Flow Designer, Workflow and REST/SOAP API
  • Strong experience with CMDB and Service Catalog Development
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and release management
  • Experience with Agile DevOps practices and CI/CD Pipelines
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise datasets and conducting performance tuning and optimization
