Senior Consultant, Red Hat OpenShift AI

The Role

We are hiring a senior consultant with real depth in Red Hat OpenShift AI to join a long-running federal program based onsite in Greenville, TX. You will spend your days building and re-architecting applications on the platform, keeping the delivery pipelines healthy, and helping the program move older workloads into modern, containerized designs. This is a hands-on engineering seat, not an oversight role, so expect to be in the code and the platform every day.
The work sits at the intersection of application development and the OpenShift AI environment. Some of it is straight software engineering. Some of it supports AI and machine learning workloads running on the platform. You should be comfortable moving between both.

What You Will Do

• Build new applications and rework existing ones to run on Red Hat OpenShift AI and Red Hat Cloud Services, shifting legacy workloads toward containerized, cloud-native designs.
• Stand up and maintain CI/CD pipelines that carry code through build, test, and deployment with as little manual handling as possible.
• Run functional and performance testing on what you ship, then fix what the results turn up so releases hold under real use.
• Support AI and ML enabled development on the platform, including deploying and serving models when the work calls for it.
• Work alongside the engineers, testers, and platform staff already on the program to plan and carry out application modernization.
• Document your work and hand it off cleanly so the team can maintain and extend it after you move on.

What You Need

• 7 to 9 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated, hands-on work with Red Hat OpenShift AI.
• Demonstrated, hands-on work with Red Hat Cloud Services.
• A track record of both writing new applications and refactoring existing codebases.
• A solid grasp of software testing methods and when to apply them.
• Experience building and running deployment pipelines end to end.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift AI.

Nice to Have

• Prior work with AI/ML tooling or development workflows that build AI into the product.
• Comfort with Kubernetes fundamentals underneath the OpenShift layer.

Clearance, Eligibility, and Location

• You hold an active Secret clearance. Top Secret is a plus.
• You are a U.S. citizen. This is required under the governing government contract.
• You already live within commuting distance of Greenville, TX, or you are ready to relocate there.
• You are able to work fully onsite. This role has no remote or hybrid option.
