Title: Sr. Engineer 2 - Java Developer
Location: Fort Worth, TX (3 days hybrid onsite)
Duration: 12+ months Contract
Job Overview:- We are seeking an experienced Java/J2EE Spring Developer with strong expertise in Azure Cloud, modern DevOps practices, and hands-on experience supporting applications hosted on both cloud and on premises environments.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies while leveraging Azure services, GitHub Actions, and Unix/Linux administration skills.
Top Required Skillsets:
Candidate must have 7 - 9 years of experience.
Java, J2EE, Spring, Basic Unix knowledge, Oracle DB and good Application development skills.
Candidate must have the following skillsets:
· Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using: o Java 8/11/17+ o J2EE technologies o Spring Boot o Spring MVC o Spring Security o Spring Data JPA/Hibernate o RESTful APIs and Microservices o Develop scalable and high-performance backend services. o Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services. o Perform unit testing, code reviews, and application performance tuning. · AI Adaption o Should be able to do fast paced development using AI tools. o Should be able to integrate AI agents into existing and new applications o Should have experience in creating AI agents that help in improving productivity. · Azure Cloud Development o Design and deploy cloud-native applications on Client Azure. o Work with Azure services such as: o Azure App Services o Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) o Azure Functions o Azure Storage Accounts o Azure Key Vault · Azure Monitor and Application Insights o Implement secure authentication and authorization using Azure Active Directory (AAD). · DevOps & CI/CD o Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using: o GitHub Actions o Git o Azure DevOps o Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes. o Monitor application deployments and troubleshoot production issues. o Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth releases. · Unix/Linux Server Administration o Perform basic application support and administration activities on Unix/Linux servers. o Execute application deployment and maintenance tasks using shell commands. o Analyze application logs and troubleshoot system issues. o Manage file systems, permissions, processes, and scheduled jobs. o Work with scripting languages such as Shell Script/Bash for automation tasks. o Support applications running on on-premises servers and hybrid cloud environments. · Database Management o Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations. o Work with relational databases such as: o Oracle o PostgreSQL.
Nice to Have Skillsets:
Docker Kubernetes (AKS) ACA Any No-SQL DB experience (Mongo or Couchbase)

What is the team environment and structure like?: Team is divided into pods with each of the pod handling different projects. The resource should be able help any pod with design, development and deliverables in stipulated time. Candidate will be helping with pod development and deliverables.
