About the Role:

As a Senior Energy & Utility Data Analyst at CBRE, you will play a pivotal role in driving energy efficiency and sustainability for a significant healthcare portfolio in the North and Central Texas region. This hybrid position blends remote work with essential on-site engagements.

You will be a key contributor to the Energy and Sustainability team, leveraging your expertise in utility data management and analytics to identify opportunities, optimize costs, and inform strategic decisions that align with CBRE's sustainability objectives. This role demands exceptional analytical capabilities, clear communication, and a dedication to data-driven performance improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and maintain high-quality utility data within the utility bill management platform, ensuring accuracy and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate utility account changes across the portfolio, including establishing new services and transferring or terminating existing accounts.

  • Design and produce comprehensive custom energy reporting packages, including detailed consumption and cost variance analyses, for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution of an energy scorecard program, translating complex data into clear performance metrics to drive no/low-cost energy reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze utility consumption patterns to identify anomalies, evaluate efficiency opportunities, and forecast future usage and expenditures.
  • Track and report on energy project performance, ensuring all required data is collected and reported for compliance, savings verification, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support the annual utility budgeting process and contribute to forecasting energy expenditure for the portfolio.
  • Assist with energy contract management, providing analytical support for long-term electricity and natural gas agreements.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve departmental and client goals.
  • Participate in on-site visits as needed for data validation, performance verification, and support of critical reporting requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members as needed to accomplish team goals.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Other related senior-level analyst duties as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor"s Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Experience working with a utility bill management vendor and/or managing utility accounts
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve sophisticated problems
  • Ability to analyze solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
