About the role

The Senior Project Management Consultant (Electrical Engineer) serves as the electrical engineering subject matter expert within the CBRE Project Management and Facilities Maintenance teams, supporting key stakeholders and Pratt & Whitney facilities across the East Hartford campus.

This role provides technical leadership on electrical systems in support of both capital (CapEx) and maintenance, repair, and operations projects. The position partners with project managers and maintenance personnel to develop technical scopes, assess design feasibility, and support execution strategies aligned with campus infrastructure and operational requirements.

Working cross-functionally with project managers, plant engineering (mechanical, structural, etc.), and internal customers to coordinate new equipment installations. This role ensures electrical considerations are effectively integrated into project planning and delivery. The position also collaborates with contractors, vendors, and the CAD Manager to ensure accurate electrical documentation (site one-line, substation and vault one-lines, panel schedules, etc.), and arc flash protection and protective device coordination with existing electrical systems.

The role supports a wide range of electrical engineering efforts across a complex manufacturing campus, from equipment installations to large-scale infrastructure and utility system upgrades/maintenance. It contributes to campus-wide planning initiatives, system reliability, and coordinated activities such as major utility shutdowns and phased infrastructure improvements.

What you'll do

  • Provides Electrical engineering support for manufacturing processes, infrastructure, and equipment within the facility by designing, specifying, purchasing, and constructing electrical systems and components.
  • Provide hands-on involvement with equipment and processes by being available to the operators and maintenance personnel and gaining intimate knowledge of processes.
  • Provide technical expertise in the maintenance and modification and installation of equipment and machinery in the manufacturing process.
  • Supports project management teams for multiple construction infrastructure projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients and team members/project managers to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process.
  • Facilitate the development of a charter and integrated timeline.
  • Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or escalated.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

What you'll need

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Professional license preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in engineering/construction project management for a minimum of seven (7) years Equivalent combination of experience in an advisory and/or engineering supervisory capacity required.
  • Hands-on experience with tenant/capital improvement construction projects preferred; ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects, ability to read and understand construction specifications and documents.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), AutoCad and Smartsheet software.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a

candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is

$130K per year and the maximum salary for the position is

or $169K per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate

will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also

be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
