About the role
The Senior Project Management Consultant (Electrical Engineer) serves as the electrical engineering subject matter expert within the CBRE Project Management and Facilities Maintenance teams, supporting key stakeholders and Pratt & Whitney facilities across the East Hartford campus.
This role provides technical leadership on electrical systems in support of both capital (CapEx) and maintenance, repair, and operations projects. The position partners with project managers and maintenance personnel to develop technical scopes, assess design feasibility, and support execution strategies aligned with campus infrastructure and operational requirements.
Working cross-functionally with project managers, plant engineering (mechanical, structural, etc.), and internal customers to coordinate new equipment installations. This role ensures electrical considerations are effectively integrated into project planning and delivery. The position also collaborates with contractors, vendors, and the CAD Manager to ensure accurate electrical documentation (site one-line, substation and vault one-lines, panel schedules, etc.), and arc flash protection and protective device coordination with existing electrical systems.
The role supports a wide range of electrical engineering efforts across a complex manufacturing campus, from equipment installations to large-scale infrastructure and utility system upgrades/maintenance. It contributes to campus-wide planning initiatives, system reliability, and coordinated activities such as major utility shutdowns and phased infrastructure improvements.
