Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer for a Direct Hire with a client in Irvine, CA. Candidate who enjoys being hands-on and can work across the entire product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical design fundamentals with practical experience building, testing, debugging, and improving real-world electronic systems.

Salary Range: $130,000/Year to $140,000/Year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead electrical design and development activities for medical device and electromechanical system projects throughout the full product lifecycle.

• Develop system requirements, electrical schematics, multilayer PCB layouts, and cable/harness designs.

• Provide technical guidance and coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, and Designers to ensure project success.

• Plan project schedules, estimate resources, and track progress against technical and business objectives.

• Develop and execute testing protocols, conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis, and document findings in technical reports.

• Collaborate with software, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support design reviews, product improvements, and successful product launches.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) required; master's degree (MSEE) preferred.

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, with expertise in electrical design and product development.

• Strong experience in embedded hardware design, analog/digital circuit design, PCB development, and electrical system validation.

• Proven ability to lead medium-scale engineering projects, develop electrical schematics and PCB designs, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
