  • Lead and support formal design reviews while ensuring technical alignment across engineering disciplines.
  • Develop test plans, commissioning procedures, validation documentation, schematics, control narratives, and functional descriptions.
  • Provide hands-on field support for installation oversight, system debugging, inspections, acceptance testing, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a technical lead in customer-facing situations, including warranty support, sustaining engineering, vendors, contractors, and field teams.

Position requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of controls engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with a master’s degree.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, motor control, and control system architecture.
  • Strong proficiency with Rockwell Studio 5000 or equivalent PLC platforms.
  • Experience with system commissioning, troubleshooting, field support, integration, and functional safety principles.
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel significantly for field activities and project execution.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR due to access to export-controlled technical data.

Preferred Requirements:

  • M.S. in a related technical field.
  • Florida E.I.T. or P.E. license, or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with themed entertainment, amusement, or large-scale custom mechanization systems.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design tools.
  • Experience with three-phase power systems and industrial electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience managing technical risk on complex custom-engineered systems.
  • Familiarity with ASTM F2291 or related industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field activities and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors.

Reasons to Apply:

  • Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Health coverage, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored perks.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, to support work-life balance.
  • Flexible schedules and work life balance.
