Job Description Summary An integral member of the site EHS Department, whose primary responsibilities are to ensure a safe and healthy working environment through training, awareness, and compliance with various environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) corporate policies, federal regulations, and other generally recognized standards and guidelines.
You must possess the proper skills in order to identify hazardous workplace conditions, remove hazards and/or protect employees through development and implementation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk assessments, in an effort to continually improve the organizations safety culture. The Sr. EHS Specialist will also assist the Environmental Engineer in the areas of air and water quality type activities as they relate to site activities and operating permits limits. You will be tasked with taking a lead role in revising and improving the sites EHS procedures and management systems.
