Sr. Disability Finance Analyst (Remote - Anywhere in the U.S.)

Join our team as a Sr. Disability Finance Analyst! We're looking for a detail-oriented finance professional with disability industry experience to support financial operations, payment processes, and reporting initiatives.

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience with a TPA or insurance carrier in the disability industry
5+ years of disability payment and financial operations experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Advanced Excel and computer skills
Experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting
Knowledge of online accounting systems and securities transaction tax processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills ️
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Disability tax and/or disability industry knowledge preferred
Proven ability to influence and lead others toward common goals

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years related work experience at either a TPA or Carrier in the disability industry.
  • 5+ years disability payment/financial functions experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Strong computer skills (including Excel)
  • Demonstrated initiative in mastering new technical areas quickly
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
  • Exposure to general ledger accounting and financial statement reporting
  • Experience with online accounting systems
  • Securities transactions tax experience
  • General knowledge of disability industry and/or disability tax experience

  • Vendor management of financially-driven vendors (ex; ADP) and facilitates overpayment recovery arrangements with client and disability claimants
  • Tracks overpayment collections and applies to benefit calculations
  • Researches and corrects financial coding within the disability claim platform and prepares documents, communications benefit reconciliation to clients
  • Presents disability financial aspects of process during finalist presentations, interfaces or presents during teleconferences directly with clients during W2 season or during issue resolution matter related to financial aspects of the claim block
  • Researches and validates client funding reports prior to benefit distribution
  • Prepares service fee invoice reports
  • Prepares and submits vendors payments according the client requirements
  • Recommends and implements improvements to existing technologies and methods or proposes new ones, to improve the quality and timeliness of technical and customer support.
  • Delivers quality & timely results, i.e., technical and customer support, based on company business needs and objectives.
  • Ensures Broadspire remains in compliance with federal, state and local tax matters
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.
  • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
