About the Opportunity
Broadstaff is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a respected, family-owned telecommunications infrastructure company operating across two thriving business units:
  • Commercial Tower Services supporting wireless carriers and infrastructure owners
  • Fixed Wireless & Broadband Solutions delivering connectivity solutions for commercial and residential applications

This is not a typical corporate leadership role.

Our client is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager who understands the realities of wireless construction, field operations, project execution, and the financial drivers behind profitable project delivery. This leader will oversee operations across the organization while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day business.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with the willingness to roll up their sleeves, solve problems, support field teams, and help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow.
What You'll Do
  • Lead operations across multiple telecom and wireless infrastructure projects
  • Oversee project execution from contract award through closeout
  • Manage schedules, resources, subcontractors, equipment, and labor planning
  • Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and project profitability
  • Partner closely with field leadership, finance, and executive management
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasting, job costing, and project financial performance
  • Review project pricing, margins, and cost controls
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Build and improve operational processes, reporting, and organizational structure
  • Serve as a trusted leader for field teams, project managers, and customers
What We're Looking For
  • Proven operations leadership within wireless construction, telecom infrastructure, tower services, broadband, utilities, or similar industries
  • Strong understanding of project execution, scheduling, resource allocation, and field operations
  • Experience managing P&L responsibilities, budgets, job costing, and financial performance
  • Ability to lead teams while remaining actively involved in daily operations
  • Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and customers
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable operating within an entrepreneurial, family-owned environment
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas as needed
Preferred Experience
  • Wireless carrier infrastructure
  • Tower construction and modifications
  • Fixed wireless broadband deployments
  • Telecom construction management
  • Fiber and network infrastructure
  • ISP or WISP environments
  • OSHA and telecom safety programs
Why This Opportunity?
  • Join a highly respected ownership team that genuinely cares about its people
  • Make a significant operational impact on a growing organization
  • Help shape future processes, budgets, benefits offerings, and company strategy
  • Partner with an experienced finance team and strong field leadership
  • High visibility role with direct influence on company growth and performance
  • Opportunity to build something rather than simply manage it
Success in This Role
You will be successful if you can:
  • Improve operational efficiency and project execution
  • Manage costs while protecting margins
  • Create accountability and consistency across teams
  • Support field operations without creating bureaucracy
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, and profitably
  • Become a trusted partner to ownership and leadership
