What You'll Be Doing:

Sr Director, Strategic Initiatives & Performance

Summary

A Sr Director oversees the activities of key strategic initiatives for Evolent and Evolent partners, including operational execution, risk mitigation, and value optimization.

Essential Functions

Contribution and Impact:

  • Shape enterprise-wide strategy and influence long-term planning for strategic initiatives, inclusive of medical expense initiatives, clinical programs, and vendor relationships.
  • Coordination across the organization to ensure operational success of initiatives and manage financial risks associated with operations.
  • Accountable owner for gainshare calculations and financial monitoring and forecasting.

Influence and Communication:

  • Presents insights and guides stakeholders in data-driven decision making.
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders internally and externally and ensures strong alignment across Evolent and partner clinical and operational organizations.
  • Communicates complex analyses to internal and external executives.

Strategy & Innovation:

  • Drive innovation through scalable, repeatable solutions.
  • Evaluates input from analytics reporting, medical economics, subject matter experts to make recommendations and strategic decisions on potential future and existing initiatives.

Leadership:

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of related experience, with at least 5 to 7 years of healthcare experience.
  • Experience with financial analyses, forecasting, or actuarial analysis.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization as well as with Evolent partners.
  • Demonstrable skill in navigating ambiguity and driving clarity for team that supports strategic initiatives.
  • Thrives in dynamic environments that require flexibility and critical thinking.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities.
  • Ability to multitask, priorities, adapt to change, and manage a project from start to finish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with value-based analyses or Medicaid.
  • Experience with finding and executing savings initiatives, including quantification and monitoring.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree with a quantitative (e.g., actuarial, statistics, operations research, engineering, mathematics, economics, finance), healthcare (e.g., health administration, epidemiology, public health, biology), or technology (e.g., computer science,

Preferred Certifications

  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries

General Performance Criteria

As a Sr Director, Analytics, you will be required to fulfill your responsibilities while meeting the following general performance criteria for this position at this level:

Expertise: You research, create proof of concepts, and introduce new methods.

Communication: You are a facilitator, delegator, and collaborator across team members reporting to other teams.

Domain: You suggest changes to processes or to the current roadmap for the program you oversee to positively impact the business.

System: You evolve systems to support future needs and define the KPIs necessary to monitor.

Process: You define new processes w to improve the efficiency of their work, and lead their implementation.

Influence: You regularly make an impact across more than just your direct team.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $150,000-160,000. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
