This established construction firm specializes in federal government, secure facility, historic restoration, and mission-critical construction projects throughout the United States and internationally. With approximately 85-90 employees and annual revenue of roughly $100M, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering highly visible and technically challenging projects for government agencies and landmark facilities. The Senior Director of Operations will join a collaborative leadership team focused on continued growth and operational excellence. The Senior Director of Operations will oversee major federal construction initiatives while helping scale the business to meet increasing project demand. This Senior Director of Operations role offers the opportunity to influence company strategy and help shape the future of the organization.
Provide operational leadership for complex federal construction programs and projects. Partner closely with executive leadership, reporting directly to the COO. Drive project execution, efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction across the organization. Support business growth initiatives and help expand operational capacity to meet increased demand. Oversee teams responsible for mission-critical, secure, and high-profile government construction projects. Ensure successful delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and performance expectations. Collaborate with project leadership to identify operational improvements and best practices. Build and develop high-performing teams to support continued organizational growth. Maintain strong relationships with government clients, stakeholders, and project partners. Help position the organization for future expansion and succession into broader leadership responsibilities. Serve as a senior operational leader for federal construction programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Guide strategic planning and execution efforts as the Senior Director of Operations while supporting long-term company objectives.
