Sr. DIrector of FP&A

Director of FP&A leads corporate or operations finance functions and works with various departments for budgeting forecasting, month-end reporting and analysis, operational and management reporting, business analytics, trend analysis and ad hoc analysis to support management decision making for new and existing business initiatives. Prepares and presents quarterly and annual performance reports for executives, Board of Directors and external analysts, including earnings call information and management.

Job Description

Director of FP&A leads corporate or operations finance functions and works with various departments for budgeting forecasting, month-end reporting and analysis, operational and management reporting, business analytics, trend analysis and ad hoc analysis to support management decision making for new and existing business initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Directs and coordinates financial planning and budget functions for the entire organization and the departments within the organization

Assists in establishing benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance and make recommendations to key stakeholders

Monitors and analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecast, including variance analysis

Manages the preparation of financial reports/analysis

Manages the preparation of financial forecasts and projections

Prepares financial analysis for critical business decisions

Collaborates with department managers to develop five-year business plans

Collaborates with department managers to develop short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

Provides recommendations for process, systems and procedural improvements

Prepares and presents quarterly and annual performance reports for executives, Board of Directors and external analysts, including earnings call information and management

Develops, maintains and presents executive dashboards and scorecards

Manages a team of managers and financial analysts

Required Experience:

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong financial analytical and accounting experience required; MBA strongly preferred

Minimum 10+ years experience plus 5+ years of financial management experience

Experience managing and driving finance, budgeting, and cost reduction principles and processes

Strong knowledge of product/service margin analyses, investment return analysis and capital planning and management

Expert knowledge of financial modeling and constructing models in MS Excel

Expert knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
