Senior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the development and operation of secure, high-performance cloud and hybrid environments that power mission-critical applications. You'll work alongside software engineers to automate infrastructure, improve deployment processes, and ensure reliable system performance across development and production environments.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using DevOps best practices.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery and operational efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure, configuration management, monitoring, backups, and security processes.
- Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Administer Linux/Unix systems and support containerized applications and orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Create and maintain deployment documentation, operational procedures, and automation tools.
- Contribute technical leadership and continuous improvement initiatives across the DevOps environment.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and Git source control.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ or Java.
- Experience automating deployments, infrastructure, and operational processes.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and Agile/Scrum development.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and security best practices.
- Previous experience supporting classified government environments or holding an active DOE or DoD security clearance is a plus.
