The Sr. Designer will collaborate closely with licensors, brand teams, product development, and line-planning teams across North America and the company's Italian headquarters. This role will be responsible for translating brand direction and market trends into compelling eyewear concepts, detailed sketches, technical drawings, and presentation-ready renderings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, luxury accessories, and product development, with demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling, and 3D rendering.
Develop and prepare innovative sketches and concepts for new eyewear collections based on brand and licensor specifications.
Collaborate with product development and line-planning teams in North America and Italy to research and develop innovative construction details, including hardware, materials, production techniques, and design solutions.
Create fully developed sketchbooks, concept presentations, and high-quality renderings using Adobe Illustrator.
Produce detailed technical drawings, including section drawings, exploded views, annotations, and specifications required for prototyping.
Support prototype reviews, CAD assessments, revisions, and follow-up activities to ensure accurate translation of design concepts into finished products.
Interpret current and emerging trends across the North American eyewear and fashion industries and incorporate relevant trends into product concepts.
Provide creative direction for product concepts that align with collection strategies, brand identity, and market trends.
Conduct domestic and competitive market research to identify emerging product opportunities, consumer preferences, and industry trends.
Lead exploratory development of new materials, construction methods, and design techniques in collaboration with North American development and line-planning teams.
Maintain close communication with licensors and internal stakeholders throughout the design and product development lifecycle.
Participate in relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and other market events.
Collaborate effectively with designers and cross-functional teams in New York and the company's Italian headquarters.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited college or university.
5+ years of professional design experience, preferably within a specialty retail, distribution, or sales environment.
Strong understanding of the product development and production process.

Proficiency in 3D rendering software, such as KeyShot or similar tools.
