Sr Databricks Engineer

5-10 years' experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Warehousing. - Familiarity with on-prem ETL/ERP technologies (e.g., Informatica, IICS, Cognos, Netezza).

Job Summary (Senior Databricks Engineer):

- Position Type: 12-month contract (potential for contract-to-hire)
- Schedule:
- Contract-to-hire: 2 days onsite (Wednesday mandatory)
- Contract only: 5 days onsite
- Hours: 8am 4pm (some flexibility)
- Visa Sponsorship: Available

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support new/existing data applications and integrations
- Build, enhance, and optimize data solutions using Azure Databricks
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and data scientists on data products and analytics
- Design and review technical/data-flow solutions
- Conduct code reviews, testing, deployment, and provide production support
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues; offer technical guidance for complex data solutions
- Maintain technical documentation for downstream integrations
- Identify technology trends and suggest improvements
- Participate in Scrum/Sprint activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-10 years' experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Warehousing
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
- Strong understanding of the Azure ecosystem
- Proficient in SQL; experience with Python or Scala
- Data modeling experience and understanding of KPIs' impact
- Familiarity with on-prem ETL/ERP technologies (e.g., Informatica, IICS, Cognos, Netezza)
- Experience with analytics platforms (Power BI, Azure ML, Synapse, Databricks)
- Azure DevOps and GitHub experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
