Senior Data/Reporting Analyst
Pay: $40–$45/hour
Location: Near Albany, NY (hybrid; occasional in-office days depending on the project)
Employment Type: Contract (through at least the end of 2026, potentially longer)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Data/Reporting Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. This is a senior-level role for someone with a strong data background who can work independently, translate business needs into reporting solutions, and mentor less experienced analysts.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of experience executing data analysis and complex reporting solutions
• Healthcare or social care industry experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in business, insurance, or a related field

Critical Hard Skills

• Strong SQL skills, at an intermediate proficiency level
• Experience with reporting/BI tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau (any one of these is acceptable)
• Familiarity with Azure, plus general comfort with internal systems and databases
• Data manipulation and database management knowledge, including combining and analyzing data across multiple systems

Critical Soft & Functional Skills

• Data validation and QC, including building testing workflows, peer review, and reconciliation
• Stakeholder translation — turning business asks into report specs and presenting technical results to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
• Mentorship — guiding and supporting less experienced analysts
• Comfort handling sensitive and private data with strong confidentiality practices
