Sr Data Modeler

IDR is seeking a Sr Data Modeler to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on designing and optimizing enterprise data models that enable analytics and reporting across complex financial platforms. You’ll collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate domain needs into scalable, governed data solutions in a highly regulated environment.

**Position Overview for the Sr Data Modeler **

• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, canonical, and physical data models (including ERDs and dimensional/star schemas)
• Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and solution architects to translate financial domain requirements into enterprise data models
• Model key financial subject areas such as profiles, advisor teams, securities, holdings, performance, and risk analytics
• Apply data modeling best practices including normalization, SCD concepts, data lineage, metadata management, and reference data governance
• Support data quality, source-to-target mapping validation, and downstream reporting/analytics initiatives

Requirements for the Sr Data Modeler :

• 8+ years of enterprise data modeling and data architecture experience, ideally within financial services (investment/asset/wealth management)
• Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, canonical, and physical data modeling methodologies, including ERDs and dimensional modeling
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze, validate, and optimize complex datasets
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, Hackolade, or similar platforms
• Experience with cloud and database platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, AWS, and Azure
